Really Good Notebook; Pleasantly Surprised.
Ugh, as an Amazon Reviewer, I hate gushing about a product and most items have to work really hard to get a full five stars from me. But can we talk about this notebook? I mean it’s 7 bucks at the time of writing this, bound in leather, and has a magnetic closure on it with a pen holder on the side. This is an absolute gift worthy item that is very beautiful. The value that you’re getting is also great for what you’re paying and here’s why:So like I mentioned before, the notebook is bound in leathers and stitched at the seam, the construction of it proving to be travel worthy if I decided to. And unboxing it you can smell that leather smell that is just ‘ahh’ in pure satisfaction. At least for me it is, I love the smell of leather in the morning lol. There is a magnetic leather clasp that keeps the entire notebook closed and that too is made of leather so they didn’t get cheap there. The only thing not made of leather are the pages and the pen holder, that feels like it’s made of something else entirely. The stag on the front of the notebook looks really cool and it is embossed on it along with the words “Notebook” then below it in smaller print, “keep it simple’. They could have left off the ‘keep it simple’ part but it’s a minor thing.On the inside, there is a leather…tassel? Or bookmark that is attached to the notebook so you can mark where you were writing last. And the initial page is blank and thick, allowing for your own design whether that is a title or if you wish to just leave it blank, but it covers your work when you first open it and I really like that. But the pages itself (and yes, this is going to sound very stupid, but I love organization) at the top have where you can notate the weather, the day of the week (marking M-Su, with their own box), the date itself in number format, and memo number. That kind of organization is not found in every single notebook you buy. And for someone like me who likes to keep track of her things properly, I need this in my life. And stationary happens to be a realm I know well.The feel of the pages are perfect, not too thin and not terribly thick like with some of those notebooks that try to look deliberately old (gross). This is, in my opinion pure perfection especially for the price. At big box stores, I would have to pay 15 bucks for something similar when I can come here and purchase this. So, I am archiving this purchase and in a few months when I run out of pages I am buying this again, maybe in a different color, maybe even a different version from this company because I absolutely love this product.
