Works Perfectly
The fridge in our 2008 motorhome quit working entirely. I was able to locate factory troubleshooting instructions on line and all tests pointed to the control circuit board.Installation is straightforward for anyone with midrange mechanical and electrical skills. Releasing the electrical connectors can be tricky, so proceed with caution.It’s also a good idea to photograph and tag the connections before you start. It’s very easy to mess up the heavy gauge wires to the heater coils, though doing so won’t hurt anything other than your pride.

Incorrect soldering on board
This was defective. Two of the terminals pulled out of the circuit board because they were not soldered correctly. I thought that since it said “Genuine Norcold part” that it would be better quality … I guess not. Returned for refund.

Does Not Fit Norcold Model N8XR
I am not surprised that the Amazon website indicated this is a frequently returned item. The seller’s description states this board will work in the Norcold N8X series. It will not. Per the Norcold parts list, part 639593 KIT MAIN CONTROL BOARD ASSY is the right part. I contacted the seller and they told me to return this and by the correct one. That would be an appropriate response if they followed up with a website correction but I doubt that will happen. Norcold factory parts lists are easily found online. All you have to do is search your model number. I wish I would have checked first instead of relying on the seller.
