Easy to use, simple and effective
I work in tech and often feel quite stressed. Usually I take supplements before bed but recently been having low quality sleep still. A friend recommended I try vagus nerve stimulation for stress relief and anxiety management, so I decided to give the Zenowell device a shot. After researching various vagus nerve device products and the underlying technology through ChatGPT, I found several similar devices on Amazon, but Zenowell’s approach seemed most aligned with the scientific principles of a tech called taVNS. The 30-day guarantee made it an easy decision.My Experience (5 days, 10 sessions): the device is easy to use, simply moisturize the ear tip and wear it. I definitely feel sleepy and drowsy on sleep mode, and most interestingly muscles relaxed during relax mode. I tried medit mode at work and it kinda clears my mind and gives me energy without the caffeine rushes.While it’s still early days, I’m cautiously optimistic. I have noticed my heart rate dropping during a couple of sessions. More importantly, I genuinely feel a sense of calm from the ear stimulation itself – perhaps this is the real power of vagus nerve stimulation at work.I’m definitely willing to continue this experiment. At minimum, I can confirm that the device provides noticeable ear stimulation that does seem to promote a calming effect. Whether this translates to measurable long-term benefits remains to be seen, but the initial signs are encouraging.I’m curious to see how my experience evolves over the coming weeks. Will update this review as I gather more data and longer-term feedback. For now, cautiously yes – especially given the 30-day guarantee that removes the financial risk. If you’re dealing with stress and anxiety and are curious about vagus nerve stimulation, it might be worth exploring.

Technically does what it says it will do.
I’m still on the fence about the tens unit relaxation device. Does it technically do what it advertises to do? Yes. It creates a very small, itty bitty, undeniable electrical zap to the outer ear. It zaps in very clear, very distinct patterns depending on which setting one uses. Turning the machine on, adjusting the strength of the electrical zaps, and turning it back off is all very simple and intuitive. There’s even a button to change the mode, which subtly changes the patterns of the zaps.It comes with a little tube of gel and a little spray bottle, both of which very successfully (and in a reusable way) increase the conductivity between the unit and the skin. This is lovely, in that it does not require an ongoing purchase of gel pads or the like to use it. This is much appreciated.Technically, it does what it says it will do and it is easy to use.I still don’t think I like it, though. First, it’s only in one ear. For my particular ND issues, that makes me feel very off balance. I can’t just use it in the other ear, though, because of the design of it. So, off balance it is.Second, it’s uncomfortable. If it’s high enough to be felt, it’s high enough to be a little electric zap that feels kind of like a pinch. I actually can’t tolerate it for a full 20 minutes. 15 is my tops. I wish there was a way to drop the timer down, but instead I have to just pull it out of my ear when I can’t take it anymore. I’m not sure that this is as relaxing as it’s supposed to be.I imagine time will tell if it actually does any of the things that it’s supposed to do. 20 minutes a day isn’t impossible, but it is unpleasant so we’ll see if I stick with it.

Not For Me
I really wanted to like this little device that stimulates the vagus nerve to help relax, calm, and allow you better sleep. It comes incredibly well boxed with good instruction manual, nice clamshell case, charger, the unit itself, the ear piece (which can be somewhat adjusted to fit your ear), and both a spray bottle and gel application. Everything fits neatly in the case, which really is quite nice and quality made.I followed the directions — there is a bit of a learning curve to get the ear piece to fit comfortably– and experimented with the different modes (Sleep, Meditation, and Relaxation) as well as the different levels of stimulation to the vagus nerve. That’s what I didn’t like — those little electric zaps in my ear. They zapped for a count of 8, the stopped, then another 8, and so on. Was that how it should work? I emailed the company and they assured me that yes, the zaps go on and off. To me, that constant on and off was not helpful for relaxation.I think this is something that may help some people. I like the way it’s made and it does seem to be of very quality. It’s from Korea, and the User Manual is fairly up to date (my booklet said March 24, 2025). However, it just did not help me, no matter what level or mode I used. I just found it annoying. Again, however, I do think this could help some people.Unfortunately, it’s a bit pricey so to just try it out may not be cost effective. Overall, 5 stars for quality of the product, 3 stars for how helpful it was for me.

Best sleep aid
I’ve been using the Zenowell relaxation device for a bit now, and honestly, I didn’t expect it to help as much as it has. It’s super easy to use, and the warmth + vibration combo just helps me slow down and relax after a long day. I’ve tried a bunch of similar gadgets before, but this is the first one I actually reach for every night. Definitely worth it if you deal with stress or have trouble winding down.Very cute packaging too! Would recommend to anyone who has sleep issues.
